Agile in Education

Reading Time: < 1 minute

When we designed in 2013 the basis of the Agora school in Roermond, one of the key elements was the framework of Scrum based on the Agile Manifesto.

Since that time I am passionated to apply Agile in Education. I did a lot of research about how to implement Agile thinking in education and how this mindset could support different skills.

In April 2016, I was invited by Scrum Alliance to work on a version of the Agile Manifesto for education during the Scrumgathering in Orlando, Florida. The result was the design of the Agile In Education Compass.

After 3 years of experiences the Agile Compass, Scrum Alliance had the idea to setup an Agile Certified Educator program. In November 2019 we designed the first draft version of this program in Denver, Colorado. The release of this program will be in the 2nd quarter of 2020.
